I know that everyone thinks that employers don't hire throughout the holidays, but let me tell you how WRONG that is! I've been a recruiter for over 8 years now, and every year I expect for business to slow down during the holidays and EVERY YEAR I'm surprised. Maybe next year I'll remind myself of this blog post...
So for those of you that are seeking work - now is a great time to submit resumes for review, get hiring managers and recruiters on the phone, and set roots in place for your job search. Right now, I'm posting positions on job boards with the intentions of coming back January 3rd and having some great candidates from whom to choose!
And meanwhile, I have placed two engineers *this week* - so don't let anyone tell you that companies don't hire during the holidays - it's simply not true!
