Senior Product Manager - Full-time, Term Opening

Blue Oasis Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager for a full-time, permanent requisition for our client in San Diego. This role will be involved in the full life cycle of product development - planning through implementation. This role includes managing the creation of business plans, ensuring profitability goals, product planning and positioning, and ensuring customer readiness. This leader will manage cross-functional teams and to ensure successful development, release, and enhancement of products, as well as driving product driven P&L.

This position does require up to 30% travel. It also requires a proven track record in bringing new products to market as well as evolving existing products via multiple product release cycles. The winning candidate will a strong leader with great team building/ playing skills, and possess a very strong business acumen and decision-making ability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
Drive the development, positioning and go-to-market plan for information capture products
Conduct competitive analysis and ongoing competitive and market landscape tracking activities
Determine appropriate pricing, promotion and placement for the products and manage cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing, professional services, etc.) in the execution of these programs
Work closely with development, operations, professional services and marketing teams to plan and execute the product management strategy and programs
Evaluate system requirements for existing and new solutions
Evaluate potential third party solutions and work with vendors
Coordinate with marketing in creating or updating of marketing materials (white papers, articles, technical presentations, proposals, self running demos, etc), ensuring foundation positioning and messaging are appropriately integrated.
Meet and present to industry analysts on features and capabilities
Provide training for sales, presales and implementation staff for releases
Other duties as assigned

Education and Other Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science with equivalent business experience, MBA preferred
6+ years enterprise product management experience for a software or service technology company.
Product management experience with Information/Document Capture, Content Management (ECM) or Scanning Services products is a definite plus
